About Iowa Food Cooperative
The Iowa Food Cooperative is comprised of producer and consumer members. These individuals contribute $50 to become members. Many of them also volunteer their time to support the Cooperative. Volunteers have been busy remodeling the Iowa Food Cooperative space at Merle Hay Mall, working on the web site, attending planning meetings and more. We are especially thankful to our board members and founding members.

The Iowa Food Cooperative is led by a eight person board with four producer members and four consumer members. The Iowa Food Cooperative producer board members are: Jason Jones, Stacy Hartmann, Ben Saunders, and Chris Lerch.The Iowa Food Cooperative consumer board members are Linda Gobberdiel, Amy Miller, David Couch and Carolyn Ross.

Other Support
The Iowa Food Cooperative would still be an idea on the drawing board if it wasn't for the work of Practical Farmers of Iowa and the funding support of the Leopold Center for Sustainable Agriculture and the Blooming Prairie Foundation. Interim General Manager Gary Huber is on part-time loan from Practical Farmers of Iowa. This support has been critical to the launch of the Iowa Food Cooperative.
